Building the Foundation for a Life Beyond Your Addictive Process

Through Compassionate Recovery Coaching

A neutral person to work with who will respect where you are at and where you would like to be.

Understanding that Tricky"Part" of You

Finding words to understand what is happening within us can be tricky. While some people like to name or diagnose, others don’t want a label. Be it an addiction, addictive process or behaviour, recovery, looking inward or choosing a new path, these words may carry the hidden suggestion that one is broken.  Who wants that?

What if you could look at it as an adaptive part of you that has been working overtime to manage something within yourself that feels out of control or vulnerable?  Your addictive process is not YOU.  It’s a part of you.

So what’s next?

You are in recovery or want to be in recovery from your addictive process.

I will meet you where you are at while we consider:

  • What parts of you are ready to move forward and which parts aren’t so sure it’s safe
  • Strategies you may want to consider to help you learn to look inward so that you can move forward
  • The role of  your loved ones so that they can understand where you are, where you’d like to be and how they can support you along the way

Coaching is tailored to your needs, whether that’s weekly planning, daily check-ins or something in between.  My role is to provide a safe space to explore what recovery looks like to you.

If you're here, it's likely because you have been through a lot already, whether it be grief, confusion, conflict, or exhaustion. I'm here to support you in making sense of where you go from here.

Meet Your Coach

Janice Garner

Hi, I’m Janice—a Certified Professional Recovery Coach (CPRC), Teacher, and Guidance Counsellor. I specialize in evidence-based communication and intervention, helping individuals and families navigate the challenges of addiction with clarity and compassion. My approach is rooted in understanding and non-judgment, creating a safe space where healing and meaningful change can begin.

Whether you’re supporting a loved one or seeking a path forward for yourself, I’m here to guide you with proven strategies and heartfelt care. Together, we can break through the cycles of shame and uncertainty, uncover your strengths, and create a future filled with hope and purpose.

Ready to connect with that part of you in a more productive way?

Let’s get curious. Together we will look at strategies for understanding what is happening, why it might be happening and what you would like to do about it. There are many approaches that can be taken.  We will examine the options and evidence and will use a therapeutic approach to helping you live in the present and to look forward, not back.
