Hi, I’m Janice, a Certified Professional Recovery Coach (CPRC), Teacher and Guidance Counsellor, supporting individuals and families navigating patterns that no longer serve them. This is me. No filters.

Who am I?

In 2019, I reached a crossroads in my career and midway through 2020, my eyes began opening to some major cracks in my marriage,  These events made me realize that the life I had created for myself was not quite what I had thought it would be.  The signs were all there, but it’s possible I didn’t want to see them.

I had preconceived ideas about what a life is supposed to look like and to find out mine wasn’t going to continue on that path was devastating at first. While a lot of things in my life were in fact still right, the things that weren’t, dominated my thoughts and actions.  I was a pile of emotions, depressed at times, anxious at other times and overall just stuck.

With the help of an amazing coach and a solid family and friend support network, I was able to find my way out of the confusion. I took time to re-evaluate who I was, what I wanted and where I was going. While I hadn’t planned for a divorce and a major career change, I was ready to navigate this with a little bit of wisdom developed along the way.

It wasn’t a particularly fast process and frankly, I still have some off days.  I don’t pretend to have everything figured out and I don’t believe anyone really does. There is an odd sort of comfort to that.  I try to be more aware now of my inner voice and have discovered that, in keeping with what neuroscientists have discovered, your mind will believe what you tell it. So thinking about the conversations we are having in our heads is vitally important to our well-being.

There will always be more challenges to come but I hope that I am better equipped now to handle what life throws my way.

What do I know about addictive processes and patterns?

I am a research fanatic and love doing a deep dive into whatever I am passionate about, always wanting to learn more.

I started deeply researching addictive processes after discovering that someone I had known for a long time and cared for deeply, was very much stuck in a downward spiral as a result of an addictive process.  I decided to look at some holistic options to help. The more I researched, the more I recognized some interesting patterns and connections in my own life and in several people close to me, making me see addiction in a very different light. This years long process has uncovered a multitude of avenues to approach healing from addictive processes.  I am ready and willing to support you in uncovering which ones might work best for you.

Having a positive impact on the lives of others is immensely important to me. My focus is on being the best mom I can be, a caring and committed partner and friend to my loved ones, and hopefully a strong support person for you!

If you would like to know more about my approach to recovery, I look forward to hearing from you!

Hi, I’m Sara,  Certified Professional Recovery Coach (CPRC)

Who am I?

Since entering recovery in 2015, I’ve experienced both profound healing and heartbreaking loss. Within my first year sober, I lost four close family members to addiction, including my sister. That pain became my purpose. I know the devastation of addiction—but I also know the deep, lasting power of recovery. And I’m here to show you that no matter how lost or broken you may feel, healing is absolutely possible.

As a Certified Professional Recovery Coach specializing in trauma-informed care, I integrate Internal Family Systems (IFS) into my work to help you reconnect with your true self, release shame, and build a life rooted in self-love and resilience. Whether you’re newly sober, stuck in your journey, or supporting a loved one, I offer a safe, judgment-free space to make sense of what’s happening and guide you toward lasting change.

My coaching is compassionate, personal, and grounded in lived experience. I understand the internal battles we face, especially for survivors of trauma and sexual abuse.  I know how to walk beside you as you find your way back to yourself.

In addition to one-on-one coaching, I’m a passionate speaker and advocate, sharing my story and insights at treatment centers, corporate events, and community forums. My mission is to break the stigma, shift the conversation around addiction and mental health, and empower people with the tools they need to heal.

You are not alone. You are not broken. You are in need of healing and I’m here to help you find it.
